Nyctophilia

from Haywire Theatre

One tree, one night, all of history. Nyctophilia is a show like many others, grappling with ideas of love, mystery, and magic, but with one twist. This time, your ears are your only guide. Set under the cover of a night sky and performed in complete darkness, it is a sensory journey through time that asks questions of how our imagination may be opened once our eyes are closed. With this show, Haywire takes audiences on an exploration into how we may dismantle storytelling as we know it, and be reborn with the new dawn.

Haywire is an "effortlessly confident" ('buckets', Buxton Fringe 2021) company with a love for all things weird and wonderful. With previous work described as "brilliant" (The Pocketfull Project, 2020) and "brimming with passion" (Buxton Fringe 2021), Nyctophilia marks their first step into the widely unexplored world of theatre in the dark.
